Full-Time Cognos Developer – JHB City – R200 to R250 per hour

Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug and implement Business Intelligence reporting solutions using COGNOS suite.

Development of deliverables in Cognos environment
Perform Cognos development tasks
Research and resolve Cognos technical issues
Collaborates with BI Systems Architect to design and develop efficient operational procedures
Ensures that the application environment supports the business requirements
Defines and analyzes new technical requirements.
Assists the Cognos development team in performing performance tuning and security layer
Perform detailed documentation of design, development, testing and deployment activities necessary to ensure team knowledge sharing.
Deliver advanced/ complex reporting solutions such as creating Dashboards, Scorecards and Standardized Reporting (including the bursting of reports) as stipulated by the requirements specifications

Required:

IT Diploma or degree
3 to 4 years Cognos development experience
Cognos 8
Framework Manager
Transformer
